With goals such as the "Priority Policy for Women's Empowerment and Gender Equality" and "Creating a Society in Which All Women Shine," women are expected to play active roles in various settings. In fact, they are taking on important roles and their fields of activity are expanding. Since "empowerment" literally means to leap forward with vigor, one's body must be healthy to achieve this. Therefore, we launched the "Breeze Project" with the hope that Keio University students, faculty, and staff can learn and work "lightly" in both mind and body.
Body maintenance can sometimes be a financial burden for women. The Breeze Project provides free sanitary products to students in need. In addition, we will introduce OiTr (free sanitary napkin dispensers) to all campuses.
Since it is also important to gain correct knowledge about the body, the Breeze Project holds lectures by specialist doctors. For example, learning about menstruation may lead to understanding how to adjust one's body and acquiring more reliable habits without being affected by physical condition, even when facing major phases in completing studies or performing work. It is not just about menstruation. As you get older, changes in female hormones have various effects. Learning about menopause early on serves as preparation for how to face your body during periods when you are entrusted with important work in your career. We also want men who learn and work alongside women to know about women's health.
There may be times when you want to consult someone rather than just listen to a lecture. Therefore, the "Women's Health Consultation Room" has been established within the Keio University Health Center for Keio University students, faculty, and staff. A "Men's Health Consultation Room" has also been established. Consultations are handled by obstetricians/gynecologists, breast surgery doctors, and urologists from Keio University Hospital. Let's try to maintain physical health by consulting specialists about any concerns.
We hope that maintaining physical condition so that both mind and body feel lighter will lead to future success and bear fruit, especially for young women.
Keio University intends to promote women's health support by providing a platform called the "Breeze Project." Through this initiative, we hope to contribute to the correction of the gender gap.
Women's Health Support: Installation of Free Sanitary Napkin Dispensers
As part of the "Breeze Project" for women's health support, Keio University has begun introducing "OiTr," a service that provides sanitary napkins free of charge. By using this service, we hope to contribute to reducing the mental and physical burden associated with menstruation for Keio students and to correcting the gender gap. These efforts are also linked to the SDGs.
Please check the following for information on how to use the service and installation locations on each campus. We plan to continue installing additional units as needed based on usage status.

Women's Health / Men's Health Consultation Room
Keio University has established consultation desks at the Health Center focusing on "how to deal with one's own body," where individuals can discuss concerns and questions specific to "women's health" and "men's health." Specialists in obstetrics/gynecology, breast surgery, and urology are available for consultation, so please do not hesitate to consult us instead of worrying alone.
