The research areas it covers are broad, far exceeding the traditional image of "literature," and encompass "knowledge" itself, including the arts and sciences. These range from literary studies utilizing various languages to philosophy, history, library and information science, human relations, and even the natural sciences.

With a diverse range of independent majors and a learning system that allows for cross-disciplinary study, everything culminates into a collective body of knowledge through the medium of "Letters."
