医療と人文社会科学を架橋する試みとして、今回はNew York University, 社会・健康・医療NYU-Shanghaiセンター所長のTodd Meyers教授を慶應にお招きし、依存症、慢性の病と、医療となかなかつながらない領域についてお話いただきます。精神科医の工藤先生・杉浦先生には精神科に入院している当事者の意思を聴きとり、自律を可能にするアプローチについてお話いいただき、スタンフォード人類学のSelim Gökçe Atıcıさんには日本の薬物依存症者を対象としたケアグループの民族誌をご報告いただきます。精神科医・医療人類学者の宮地尚子先生と東大医学部の稲生宏泰さんに、医学と人類学の視点の差異や、協働の可能性についてディスカッションしていただきます。
