In addition to the Koizumi Sports Award and Koizumi Sports Awards previously established for students in the Athletic Association, this award was established in fiscal 1994 to recognize groups or individuals outside the Athletic Association who are of outstanding character, in good health, and have enhanced the reputation of the Juku through sports.
