Doctoral student Satoki Hamanaka of the Nakazawa and Okoshi Lab has earned recognition for his co-authored paper, “Adaptive Push Notification Approach for Behavioral Change in Lifelogging Services.” This study was designated as a Specially Selected Paper by the Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ), an academic society dedicated to advancing computer science and information processing.

The IPSJ selects papers from across regular and special issues of the Journal of Information Processing (JIP) to receive this special designation. The honor highlights research of exceptional merit that the society highly recommends to the broader academic community, acknowledging Hamanaka’s paper as one such standout contribution.

“I am truly delighted that our paper was designated as a Specially Selected Paper,” said Hamanaka. “Our study proposes and evaluates adaptive push notifications designed to encourage continuous lifelogging in a conversational health app. It’s a great honor to have our work recognized as a valuable resource for the research community. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Professor Tadashi Okoshi for his ongoing guidance, as well as to our joint research partners at WillBooster and Wellmira.”
