Congratulations to doctoral student Mana Masui from Dr. Nobuaki Kono’s lab on winning the Best Student Presentation Award at the 70th Anniversary Meeting of the Mycological Society of Japan!
Marking 70 years of advancing mycology, the meeting featured cutting-edge research on a wide variety of fungi and fungal-like organisms.
Out of numerous student presentations, Mr. Masui received the Best Student Presentation Award for his study, “Establishing Genomic Infrastructure for Molecular Research on Myxomycetes,” co-authored with Dr. Kono. The award recognizes how their work establishes genomic resources for myxomycete (slime mold) research and holds great potential to advance molecular biology studies.
“I am truly delighted and honored to have our long-term work on myxomycete genome analysis recognized with this award,” said Mr. Masui. “Building on the findings, I remain committed to uncovering even more exciting insights into slime molds.”
