Important Notice for Applicants for Application Period Ⅱ

Due to the impact of COVID-19, a number of countries have limited their postal services, and some international postal services are experiencing unpredictable delays. In light of this, Keio Law School is recommending that applicants upload their application materials in digital format to the extent possible. Uploading digital copies of the materials will reduce the possibility that Keio Law School is unable to review your complete application due to an unexpected postal delay. With the exception of academic transcripts and certificate(s) of graduation, uploading your application materials digitally in accordance with our instructions will make it unnecessary for you to send those application materials by post unless we specifically request otherwise. Important details are as follows:

· For instructions on how to upload your application materials, please email the Keio Law School administrative office at "ls_admissions@info.keio.ac.jp" by Oct. 30, 2020 (Japan time) and inform them that you are applying for admission to the LL.M. in Global Legal Practice and wish to upload application materials. The title of the email should be "Your_Name - Application to LL.M. Program" and the email should include your full name. DO NOT ATTACH YOUR APPLICATION MATERIALS TO THE EMAIL.

· The administrative office will reply to your email with instructions for uploading your application materials using a secure file-sharing service. If you do not receive an email reply from the administrative office within 24 hours (excluding weekends), please contact them again by email. Responses to emails sent over the weekend will be provided on Monday. All documents must be uploaded by 11 PM on Nov. 10, 2020 (Japan time) to be included in your application.

· If your application includes one or more Confidential Reports on the Applicant, the employer, professor, or other person providing the report should fill out the report and create a digital copy (scan or photo) of the report. Please ask the person(s) providing the report(s) on your behalf for permission to disclose their email address(es) (preferably their official institutional email address, although that is not required) to Keio Law School. Once you have their permission, inform Keio Law School of their email address(es) by sending an email to "ls_admissions@info.keio.ac.jp".

· Although we recommend that you submit a digital copy of your academic transcripts and certificate(s) of graduation, Keio Law School still requires that transcripts and certificate(s) of graduation be mailed by post. In the event that your sealed transcripts and certificate(s) of graduation do not arrive in time for your application to be evaluated before the deadline, Keio Law School will consider, based on the specific facts and circumstances, if any accommodations are possible.

· After you upload application materials, Keio Law School may determine that it is necessary to review originals of some or all of your application materials. In such a case, we will notify you of our determination, and your application will not be considered complete until we receive the requested original documents.

If you wish, you may still apply by mailing all of your application materials and not uploading any materials. However, if your complete application materials do not reach Keio Law School before the submission deadline, your application may be rejected as incomplete. Accordingly, we encourage all applicants to make use of the digital upload process to the extent possible.
