This page contains all the necessary information on the admissions procedures for the PEARL programme offered by the Faculty of Economics, Keio University. *The Faculty of Economics does not accept transfer students.

Approximately 100 through all three application periods
(7) Screening Method
Based solely on an evaluation of submitted documents and materials. No interview is required.
(8) Required Test Scores
- All applicants must submit one (or more) of the following:
a. International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma (or predicted grades)
b. SAT scores
c. ACT Scores
*These scores cannot be substituted by any other test scores.
- All applicants must submit either (or both) of the following as well:
d. TOEFL iBT® scores
e. IELTS Academic Module scores
*These scores cannot be substituted by any other test scores.

Application Schedule for September 2023 Entry

There are three application periods.

Application Period Announcement of Results
I 10:00 a.m. on October 21, 2022 –
3:00 p.m. on December 2, 2022 (JST)
10:00 a.m. on January 27, 2023 (JST)
II 10:00 a.m. on December 7, 2022 –
3:00 p.m. on January 30, 2023 (JST)
10:00 a.m. on March 1, 2023 (JST)
III 10:00 a.m. on February 21, 2023 –
3:00 p.m. on April 4, 2023 (JST)
10:00 a.m. on May 30, 2023 (JST)

*Applicants are required to pay an application fee of JPY 35,000 by credit card. The periods for making this payment are the same as above.

**Applicants who are not successful in one application period can reapply during the subsequent application periods.

Online Application System

The application process is to be completed via the online application system, “The Admissions Office (TAO)”.
