◆ COVID-19 Infection Prevention MeasuresAll students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infections through three basic principles: social distancing, masks, and hand washing.
1) Do not come to campus if you feel unwell, have a fever, or display other symptoms associated with COVID-19.
2) Wearing a mask will be left to personal discretion.† Masks are effective during rush hour commutes, close-proximity conversations, and other situations where airborne particles and droplets are in high concentrations.
†Should you be asked to wear a mask for special circumstances at a university function, we request your full cooperation.
◆ What to do if you test positive for COVID-19 Should you test positive for COVID-19, inform those you interacted with in close proximity during meals or long conversation in the two days prior to showing symptoms, or anyone else who you strongly suspect to be a close contact.
◆ Preventing infections from spreading through organized activities of student clubs, research groups, laboratories, etc. If multiple members of a student organization or club test positive for COVID-19 within the same timeframe, there is a possibility that a cluster infection took place. Should this occur, the person in charge of the organization should contact and consult with the Keio University Health Center.
