To all Keio students:
On February 26, the university requested as follows that events, etc., involving its students are in principle either to be cancelled or postponed from the standpoint of preventing the spread of infection by COVID-19 (coronavirus disease).
Events Hosted by the University and Events Involving Keio Students, Faculty, and Staff Members (Measures for COVID-19 [Coronavirus Disease]) (Feb. 26, 2020)
Based on developments thereafter, we hereby reiterate the need to either cancel or postpone events involving Keio students if there is a high possibility of participants being in close contact with one another.
Please endeavor to reduce the chances of infection through close contact by postponing or refraining from all nonessential or nonurgent meetings (including meals and drinking parties). If an event or function will go ahead, please strictly put in place measures to prevent the spread of infection by COVID-19 such as ensuring participants wear masks, providing alcohol-based disinfectants, and encouraging all in attendance to wash their hands.
All Keio students should act to ensure that they each minimize the risk of infection as far as possible. There have been cases of younger people especially having asymptomatic infections of COVID-19 (being infected with the disease without any symptoms emerging). Please be sufficiently aware that you could still be a source of infection for other people and act accordingly.
