1 Energy Conservation Goals

Reduce energy consumption intensity by 2% or more compared to FY2025 at each campus.

*1 Energy Consumption Intensity

A numerical value calculated by converting each type of energy (electricity, gas, etc.) into heat quantity to total the usage of energy using different units, and then dividing that total by the total floor area of each campus.


2 July Results

All six campuses achieved reductions exceeding the energy conservation goals.

(1) Comparison with FY2025 (Energy consumption intensity in parentheses)

Mita Campus: 85% (70MJ/m2 )

Hiyoshi Campus: 87% (82MJ/m2 )

Yagami Campus: 89% (211MJ/m2 )

Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC): 87% (83MJ/m2 )

Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus: 92% (146MJ/m2 )

信濃町キャンパス: 94% (279MJ/m2 )

(2) Factor Analysis

As the average outdoor temperature in Tokyo remained 1.2°C lower than the previous year, cooling demand decreased significantly, resulting in reduced energy usage across all campuses. Other reduction factors include the ongoing promotion of LED lighting and operational improvements for air conditioning and ventilation systems at each campus, as well as improved air conditioning efficiency due to the heat source upgrade in Building 3 at Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus, and the power generation effects of the solar power system that began operation this fiscal year at Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC).
