On Tuesday, August 4 and Wednesday, August 5, "Open Campus 2026: Student Life Edition" was held at the Mita Campus, attracting approximately 2,500 visitors.
The event consisted of two parts: a "University Information Session" to provide an overview of the university, and a "Student Discussion Session" to deepen interaction with current students. During the University Information Session, Keio University's educational philosophy was introduced, along with the differences between high school and university learning and the diverse campus life. Participants were seen eagerly studying the photos and slides projected on the screen and the distributed guidebooks, forming a concrete image of their lives after enrollment.
In the subsequent discussion sessions, groups of three to four current students spoke to about 30 prospective students about their own entrance exam studies, motivations for applying, and actual university life. During the Q&A session, a wide range of questions were asked, from concerns unique to examinees such as how to study weak subjects and recommended ways to stay motivated, to specific daily schedules involving classes and clubs, and the pros and cons of living alone. The prospective students, who appeared nervous at first, gradually relaxed as they listened to the candid words of the current students, and the venue was filled with a friendly atmosphere.
In the information session for parents held concurrently with the discussion sessions, four current students introduced their reasons for choosing their respective faculties, how they interacted with their families during the exam period, and their extracurricular activities and part-time jobs in a talk session format. Many questions were also received from parents, leading to a lively talk session.
Additionally, special public openings of the Media Center (library) and the Mita Enzetsukan (Public Speaking Hall) were held, and it was impressive to see visitors experiencing the atmosphere of the historic campus firsthand. Under the summer sky, the Mita Campus saw two days filled with the energy of future Keio students.
