"Spring" at the Affiliated Schools

Shonan Fujisawa Junior & Senior High School —Welcome Ceremony for New Students—
Spring at SFC Junior and Senior High School is marked by the entrance ceremony, where new students from both the first year of junior high school (Year 1) and the first year of senior high school (Year 4) gather with their parents, and the welcome ceremony that follows. Both events are held in the school's Third Gymnasium, which is filled to near capacity, to grandly celebrate the enrollment of the new students. The welcome ceremony is a student-led event, primarily organized by the Cheering Guidance Committee, the Chorus Club, the Symphonic Band, and the executive members of the Student Council. It is a tradition to conclude the event with everyone in the venue putting their arms around each other's shoulders to sing the "Juku-ka" (the school song) and "Wakaki-chi," Keio University's cheer song.
