Keio University will confer the Honorary Degree of Doctor upon Sir Tim Berners-Lee in high recognition for his achievements in design and development of the World Wide Web (WWW) technology that has become the fundamental infrastructure of the information society, and of his contributions to the creation of the Internet-based civilization. The Conferment Ceremony and a Commemorative Lecture delivered by Sir Tim Berners-Lee will be held on Tuesday, March 14.
