The Keio Leading-edge Laboratory of Science and Technology (KLL; Yokohama City) will hold the 18th Keio Science and Technology Exhibition “KEIO TECHNO-MALL 2017” at the Tokyo International Forum (Marunouchi in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) on Friday, December 15.
KEIO TECHNO-MALL is an event that showcases the research results of Keio University’s Faculty and Graduate School of Science and Technology, and is a place for future collaboration between government, industry, academia for joint research, technology transfer, and more. KLL strives to cultivate talent and generate new ideas through collaboration with government and industry. The exhibition aims to represent the process which drives results and facilitates the creation of success.
At this year’s event, there will be more than 100 demonstrations, exhibitions, and panel discussions highlighting various research findings and technologies. There will also be technology partnership seminars and round table sessions by Keio researchers. The main event will be a keynote speech by astronaut Naoko Yamazaki titled “View of Japan, the World and Beyond from Space,” and there will be a round table session titled “The Role of Keio Faculty of Science and Technology: Industrial Expectations” paneled by Genichi Tamatsuka, Kazutoshi Kobayashi, and Hisataka Ikuta, who are Keio alumni and currently serving as CEOs of corporations.
