It has been announced that 1,636 individuals passed the 2025 Certified Public Accountant Examination (1,603 passed in 2024).
According to the Mita-kai of Certified Public Accountants, 177 of these were graduates of Keio University (171 successful test takers from Keio in 2024). By successfully maintaining pole position among Japanese universities in this year's exam, Keio has now topped the list of successful test takers for 51 years in a row, since 1975.
Keio University established the Accounting Research and Education Center within the Faculty of Business and Commerce for students studying to pass the exams to become certified public accountants and licensed tax accountants in 1980. The center plans and implements various educational events, including guidance sessions, lectures, and tours of auditors and corporations, while providing wide-ranging support across faculties and year grades.
