Keio University Vice-President Tsuchiya Attends the APRU Senior International Leaders' Meeting

Keio University Vice-President Motohiro Tsuchiya attended the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) Senior International Leaders' Meeting (SILM), held at the University of Sydney from September 24 to 25, 2023.
On September 25, Vice-President Tsuchiya delivered a presentation titled "Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (DEI) Initiatives at Keio University" in which he introduced various initiatives and programs such as the Keio Mentoring Program, the International Women's Day workshop co-hosted with the University of Melbourne, as well as the DEI Symposium where female faculty members who had participated in the APRU Asia-Pacific Women in Leadership (APWiL) Mentoring Program shared their experiences, DEI strategies, resources, and goals via presentations, a moderated panel discussion, and a Q&A session with participants.
Over the two days of SILM, university officials from participating universities exchanged views on higher education in the international society and making APRU activities more effective with a view to addressing global challenges.
