On June 9, 2022 (Japan time), the QS World University Rankings 2023 were announced. A total of 2,462 universities worldwide were surveyed, with 1,422 institutions assigned a position in the rankings. Keio University was assigned an overall placing of 197th in the world (in the top 13.9% globally). Fifty institutions from Japan achieved rankings, with Keio University placing 9th among these.
These rankings involve the United Kingdom's Quacquarelli Symonds assigning rankings to universities and institutions worldwide based on their aggregate score in the six indices of Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty/Students Ratio, Citations per Faculty, International Faculty Ratio, and International Student Ratio.
Among these indices, Keio University placed 48th in the world for "Employer Reputation," (up from 56th in the world since the previous ranking).
