To ensure that students may enjoy their campus life with peace of mind from April 2022, Keio University plans to complete environmental improvements such as those given below by the end of the 2021 academic year.

■ Consolidation of ventilation equipment

Based on ventilation measurements for classrooms and predictions of CO₂ concentration levels using ventilation simulators, we have increased the amount of ventilation equipment in classrooms with inadequate ventilation status. This equipment includes total heat exchangers, which are devices allowing low levels of energy loss.

■ Installation of CO₂ concentration sensors

CO₂ concentration sensors will be installed in each classroom to constantly monitor the ventilation status of classrooms.

■ PCR testing

We have established a PCR testing framework for Keio students, in cooperation with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
