Keio University and BizReach, Inc. signed a comprehensive partnership agreement on December 15 to support the creation of new industries of the future. A press conference was held at Keio University's Mita Campus, attended by President Kohei Itoh, Vice-President Kotaro Yamagishi, Professor Seiko Shirasaka (Graduate School of System Design and Management), and Soichiro Minami, the founder of BizReach, Inc.
The agreement is aimed at supporting the creation of deep tech startups launched at Keio University through the "Keio EIR (entrepreneur in residence) Model". The Keio EIR Model will match researchers who are seeking to launch a startup company based on their inventions with entrepreneurial business professionals, interested to collaborate with the researchers on a part-time basis, on BizReach, to build an EIR database. By focusing on working with potentially world-changing deep tech, Keio will produce world-class startups capable of thriving on a global scale.
The partnership is one measure of the newly introduced Keio University Startup Community Program to support the creation and growth of startups. With this move, Keio University seeks to contribute to society by promoting the further acceleration of the advancement of global society through the real-world implementation of research outcomes.
