On Saturday, May 30, an entrance ceremony was held at West School Building Hall on Mita Campus to welcome 205 new students to the Keio Girls Senior High School. The event was held in an abridged capacity, without the participation of current students or guardians, or renditions of the school songs, as part of countermeasures against infections from COVID-19 (coronavirus disease).
On Saturday, June 6th, an entrance ceremony was held at Keio Yokohama Elementary School, and 108 new pupils and their guardians (one per pupil) participated.
While both ceremonies were held approximately two months after initially scheduled, they were conducted after sufficient precautions had been taken to prevent infections such as having all participants including speakers wear masks, and fixed intervals observed between those seated.
