On January 21, Keio President Akira Haseyama attended the Global University Leaders Forum at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. The Global University Leaders Forum, or GULF, is a community of 29 of the world’s top universities, and the meeting addressed at length the role that should be played by universities toward creating a sustainable planet, in line with the theme at Davos this year, the fiftieth edition of the forum, of "Stakeholders for a Cohesive and Sustainable World."
President Haseyama also took the opportunity to meet with the President of the National University of Singapore, Professor Tan Eng Chye, who was in attendance at GULF. President Tan is a member of Keio’s Global Advisory Council, which advises the Keio president on matters including the internationalization and management of the university.
