From Wednesday, August 21 to Friday, August 23, the British national judo teams (Team GB and ParalympicsGB) held a training camp at the Judo Gymnasium on Hiyoshi Campus.
In preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, which are now only a year away, the judo teams held training sessions focused on adjusting to the climate in Japan during the season that the Games will take place, as well as to the time difference with the UK. As a part of the mental disciplining of judo athletes, the participants cleaned the gym after practice to end their training sessions.
Interest in the Tokyo 2020 Games and activities of British athletes is growing in the UK, and the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) came to Hiyoshi to cover the training camp on August 22.
