On the week of September 16, CEMS students took two full-day Business Communication Skill Seminars.
The first, titled "Mastering Intercultural Communication with Japanese People in Business," was given by Professor Adam Komisarof of the Faculty of Letters. Prof. Komisarof covered intercultural communication in international business environments in Japan and abroad while exploring how cultural differences impact intercultural communication and relationships in business environments. Students were also taught to create strategies for promoting positive, effective intercultural communication and learned techniques to improve their persuasive communication skills.
The second seminar was titled "Presentation Zen," and was taught by Professor Garr Reynolds from Kansai Gaidai University. The 19 Keio CEMS students were also joined by a CEMS student from Vienna University of Economics and Business, and they spent the day discussing how to prepare, design, and deliver powerful and visual presentations that connect, engage, and move audiences to take on change.
