The 60th Mita Festival was held at the Mita Campus over the four days from Thursday, November 22 through Sunday, November 25.
Mita Festival is one of the largest-scale campus festivals in Japan actively organized and run by current Keio students and based on dokuritsu-jison, Keio’s founding spirit of "independence and self-respect." In addition to the spectacular stage performances and booths which can only be seen at such Japanese campus festivals, it is notable for hosting seminars on research outcomes and displays. This year again saw the participation of around 420 student groups. Alongside lectures with a variety of invited guests, and presentations and displays in classrooms these showed the world our achievements to date. Booths were arrayed around the Mita Quad and the distinctive and diverse performances on the open-air stages included dance routines and live music. Mita Hilltop Square bustled with Keio students and visitors in this year which marked the 60th anniversary of the festival.
