On Tuesday, March 20, Keio University received a delegation of leading German university representatives led by DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) as part of their information visit to Japan.
The delegation comprised of senior representatives such as presidents, vice presidents, and heads of administration (chancellors), including from close partners of Keio like RWTH Aachen University, University of Cologne (Universität zu Köln), and Humboldt University of Berlin (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin).
They were welcomed by President Akira Haseyama, Provost Tojiro Aoyama, Vice-President Jiro Kokuryo, Dean of the International Center Shinnosuke Obi, and Professor Philipp Osten. Following a brief presentation on Keio University by Dean Obi, the floor was open for lively discussions on such topics as institutional strategies, management, research activities, and international collaborations.
After the discussions and a quick tour of Mita Campus, a networking luncheon with Keio faculty members and students with connections to Germany was held, giving the participants a chance for conversations in a more informal atmosphere.
