On Friday, June 23, Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton of Washington University in St. Louis visited Keio University and had a meeting with President Haseyama for the first time.

Keio University is a member of Washington University in St. Louis's McDonnell International Scholars Academy. Exactly one year ago on June 23, 2016, Chancellor Wrighton and then Keio President Seike signed a partnership agreement.

Friendly talks regarding the possibility of future collaborations between the two universities were held on the day.
