On Wednesday, 12 April, Professor Tony Chan, President of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) will give a talk titled “HKUST, Rising Asia and Global Impact”.
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) is one of Asia’s leading universities and is attracting much attention worldwide. Established only 26 years ago, HKUST is a new university, but it is ranked 4th in QS University Rankings: Asia and 36th in QS World University Rankings in 2017. HKUST and Keio University entered into a partnership agreement in 2013 for the CEMS MIM Programme.
Professor Chan received his PhD in computer science from Stanford University, taught at Yale University and UCLA, and worked for the NSF before being appointed president of HKUST in September 2009. He and President Seike are both members of the Global University Leaders Forum (GULF) of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
