The "Architecture Walk: Special Architecture Open Day" hosted by the Keio University Art Center (KUAC) was held at Mita Campus over the two days of Thursday, October 3 and Saturday, October 5.
Participants could be seen throughout Mita Campus taking in the included facilities or posing for photographs with a map in one hand, as the Mita Enzetsu-kan (Mita Public Speaking Hall) and Ex Noguchi Room on the 3rd floor of the South Building, which are not normally not accessible, and the interior of the Old University Library, to which access is normally limited, were opened to the public. They could also be seen chatting with the curators, who fielded various questions about the history of the respective buildings and other matters, during and after the guided tour, held on both days.
This was an event which allowed participants to get an intimate sense of the charms of the historical buildings, cultural properties and artworks found on Mita Campus, to the backdrop of the burgeoning onset of crisp autumnal weather conditions.
