1. Energy Conservation Goals
Reduce energy consumption per unit of floor space by 2% or more at each campus compared to FY2025.
*1 Energy consumption per unit of floor space
A value calculated by converting the usage of energy sources that use different units (electricity, gas, etc.) into heat quantity, and dividing the total value by the total floor area of each campus.
2. Results for August
All six campuses achieved reductions exceeding the energy conservation goals.
(1) Comparison with FY2025 (Energy consumption per unit of floor space in parentheses)
Mita Campus: 86% (56MJ/m2)
Hiyoshi Campus: 91% (73MJ/m2)
Yagami Campus: 90% (184MJ/m2 )
Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC): 90% (67MJ/m2)
Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus: 96% (160MJ/m2 )
Shinanomachi Campus: 95% (276MJ/m2)
(2) Factor Analysis
As the average outdoor temperature in Tokyo remained 2.9°C lower than the previous year, cooling demand decreased significantly, resulting in reduced energy usage across all campuses. Other reduction factors include the ongoing promotion of LED lighting and operational improvements for air conditioning and ventilation systems at each campus. Additionally, improved air conditioning efficiency due to the heat source upgrade in Building 3 at the Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus and the power generation effects of the solar power system that began operation this fiscal year at the Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC) are also considered contributing factors.
3. Cumulative Results for FY2026
(1) Comparison with FY2025 (Energy consumption per unit of floor space in parentheses)
Mita Campus: 86% (258MJ/m2)
Hiyoshi Campus: 91% (328MJ/m2 )
Yagami Campus: 91% (827MJ/m2 )
Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC): 89% (307MJ/m2)
Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus: 97% (696MJ/m2)
Shinanomachi Campus: 95% (1,160MJ/m2 )
