Keio University, in collaboration with the British Council, hosted the study in Japan fair "Experience Japan Exhibition (EJE) 2019" , in London on Saturday, November 23.
Various universities, Japanese governmental organizations based in the UK, and a Japanese-language school were joined for the first time by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO), which hosted a booth providing information on scholarships, at this, the ninth EJE event. Seminars introducing the basics of studying in Japan, actual experiences of former study abroad students, short-term study programs, research grants, employment in Japan, and internship opportunities, were held in parallel with the individual consultations given at the booths. A high level of enthusiasm was evident among the 550 or so attendees, made up of university and high school students and their parents and guardians, who packed the venue.
This year, a ceremony was also held for the lucky winner of a return flight from London to Tokyo kindly donated by Japan Airlines (one person determined by lottery), a corporate sponsor of the event.
