1 Energy Conservation Goals
Reduce energy consumption intensity by 2% or more compared to FY2025 at each campus.
*1 Energy consumption intensity
A value calculated by converting the usage of energy using different units (electricity, gas, etc.) into heat quantity to total them, and then dividing that total value by the total floor area of each campus.
2 September Results
All six campuses achieved reductions exceeding the energy conservation goals.
(1) Comparison with FY2025 (Energy consumption intensity in parentheses)
Mita Campus: 76% (46 MJ/m2)
Hiyoshi Campus: 81% (61 MJ/m2)
Yagami Campus: 82% (164 MJ/m2)
Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC): 80% (58 MJ/m2)
Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus: 89% (151 MJ/m2)
Shinanomachi Campus: 88% (240 MJ/m2)
(2) Factor Analysis
The average outdoor temperature in Tokyo was 3.8°C lower than the previous year, and the duration of sunshine was also 113 hours shorter. This led to a significant decrease in cooling demand, resulting in reduced energy consumption across all campuses. Other contributing factors include the ongoing promotion of LED lighting and operational improvements for air conditioning and ventilation systems at each campus. Additionally, the closure of some facilities at the Hiyoshi Campus due to typhoon countermeasures and improved air conditioning efficiency at the Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus following the heat source renewal in Building 3 are also considered factors.
