Senior High School—Book Selection Tour—

The bright and open library at Keio Senior High School (Jukuko) boasts an extensive collection for a high school, with 130,000 books ranging from introductory to specialized texts.

However, since the same students tend to use the library, we wondered if we could promote it through the students themselves. In the fall of 2024, we held a "Book Selection Tour," where students went to a bookstore to choose books.

In addition to selecting books, we had them write a "pop" (a short introduction) for their chosen books and display them in the library. The pops and display methods were full of personality, resulting in a fun and varied exhibition. We even saw friends who hadn't participated in the tour helping with the setup. We hope that by continuing this event, more Jukuko students will feel a closer connection to books and the library.
