Ayana Shinomiya Receives Top Presentation Award at 29th Annual Meeting of Intestinal Microbiology

Congratulations to Ayana Shinomiya in Prof. Sugimoto lab for winning the top presentation award at the Annual Meeting of Intestinal Microbiology!

Organized by the Intestinal Microbiology Society (IMS), the 29th Meeting was held jointly with the 2nd Society of IgA Antibody Therapeutics (SIAT) conference in 2025, exploring the theme “The Interaction between Gut Bacteria and Host Molecules as a Complex System.”

Shinomiya’s research, titled “Comparative genomic analysis of bifidobacteria that inhabit the intestines of Japanese people for a long time,” was recognized for its innovative approach and academic significance, with strong potential to advance research in gut microbiota.
