Students from Wakita Lab and Fujii Lab Win Awards at ISCA 2024 and Asia Digital Art Award FUKUOKA

In the Digital Contents Category of the INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS CREATIVE AWARD 2024 (ISCA), the work of Yusuke Kikuta, a 4th-year student in the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies and a member of Professor Akira Wakita's lab, won the Excellence Award. Additionally, the work by a team from Associate Professor Shinya Fujii's lab—comprising Kenshiro Taira (3rd-year, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies), Sogen Handa (3rd-year, Faculty of Policy Management), Nimisha Anand (4th-year, Faculty of Policy Management), and Risako Shibata (graduated from the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies in AY 2024, currently a researcher at the Keio Research Institute at SFC)—was selected for an Honorable Mention.

Additionally, their respective works won prizes in the Interactive Art Division of the Student Category at the Asia Digital Art Award FUKUOKA (ADAA).

ISCA (INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS CREATIVE AWARD 2024)

The INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS CREATIVE AWARD 2024 (ISCA) is an international creative award that calls for entries from students at universities, graduate schools, and vocational schools in Japan and abroad, with submissions made by schools or faculty members. Award-winning works were selected from three categories: the Domestic Video Contents Category, the International Video Contents Category, and the Digital Contents Category.

Asia Digital Art Award FUKUOKA (ADAA)

The Asia Digital Art Award FUKUOKA was launched in 2001 as a platform to discover and nurture creators from northern Kyushu with advanced skills and rich sensibilities for creating digital content. This competition is a public exhibition for world-class media art works, advocating for the fusion of logical thinking and artistic sensibility backed by advanced media technology, and deeply rooted in Asian culture and climate.
