Zentaro Imai, a third-year student in the Faculty of Policy Management and a member of Professor Toshiyuki Masui's lab at the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, has won the "Grand Prize" at TOKYO STARTUP GATEWAY 2024.

TOKYO STARTUP GATEWAY is a "brush-up style contest that produces young entrepreneurs who will change the world from 'Tokyo,' transcending fields such as technology, manufacturing, social innovation, real business, and globally-minded entrepreneurship." It started in fiscal year 2014 and has received over 12,000 applications in total.

The 2024 event, held under the slogan "BORN TO DREAM," solicited startup ideas from individuals aged 15 to 39 who were in the idea or planning stage of entrepreneurship.

Mr. Imai won the Grand Prize for his media literacy program, "Ray's Blog."

Comment from Zentaro Imai

Our team, Classroom Adventure, started small with three members from the Masui Lab. We have been providing learning experiences through gamification to protect people's lives, including measures against disinformation and misinformation. Since its launch last year, our media literacy program "Ray's Blog" has been experienced by over 7,000 people in seven countries worldwide. In this contest, in addition to the achievements of "Ray's Blog," our new learning program on the theme of "yami-bait" (illicit part-time jobs) was also recognized. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported and encouraged us.
