Comment from Associate Professor Kunifumi Saito

I am greatly honored to receive the Telecom Award for Social Sciences and Humanities at the 39th Telecommunications Advancement Foundation Awards.

In this book, I examined the nature of legal protection for privacy, names, and portraits from both public and private law perspectives. In these areas, the infringement of so-called personality rights has been considered a problem. In the series of studies included in this book, I aimed to analyze in detail the substantive reasons for legal protection by re-examining the principles of case law.

Encouraged by this award, I will continue my research.
