W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) Recommends Password-Free Technology as a Global Standard

The W3C (World Wide Web Consortium), hosted by Keio University as one of its four global hosts, in collaboration with the FIDO Alliance, has issued a recommendation for Web standardization to realize a password-free world. This means that major browsers and platforms will incorporate support for a new Web standard for simple and secure logins using biometric authentication, mobile devices, and FIDO security keys.
