*1 Dates are based on the typical annual schedule. Please refer to the official application guidelines for exact dates.
*2 Applicants seeking to study exclusively in English are encouraged to apply for September (Fall Semester) admission.
*3 Applicants graduating from a Japanese high school in or after October of their application year are not eligible for enrollment in the following April. Please apply for the Summer/Fall AO or subsequent sessions.
GIGA Admission (Winter AO)
Applicants outside Japan are highly recommended to apply to Winter AO because:
1. there's no need to travel to Japan for the screening*, and
2. there are scholarship opportunities exclusively for Winter AO applicants.
*Applications for Spring, Summer, or Fall AO screenings require an in-person interview in Japan on a designated date.
*The Faculty of Policy Management and the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies do not accept transfer students.
