Reduce energy consumption intensity by 2% or more compared to FY2024 for each campus unit

A numerical value calculated by converting each type of energy (electricity, gas, etc.) into its caloric equivalent to total the usage of different units, and then dividing that total by the total floor area of each campus.
2 October Results
Five campuses, excluding Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus, showed a decrease. Four campuses—Mita Campus, Hiyoshi Campus, Yagami Campus, and Shinanomachi—achieved reductions exceeding the energy conservation goals.

(2) Factor Analysis
The outside air temperature (Tokyo), which is closely related to energy consumption, was -2.1°C lower than the previous year, suggesting that cooling demand was lower than last year. Mita Campus and Yagami Campus implemented LED lighting upgrades; Hiyoshi Campus implemented LED lighting and improved air conditioning operations; and Shinanomachi Campus implemented measures such as heat source equipment maintenance. As a result of these effects, energy consumption intensity decreased and energy conservation goals were achieved. Meanwhile, Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus, which saw an 8% increase, experienced a rise in energy consumption intensity due to increased air conditioning use and the installation of new experimental equipment.
