On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the "Memorial Partners Seat Donation 1st Nameplate Unveiling Ceremony" hosted by the President of Keio University was held at the Mita Campus North Building Hall.

This donation program is an optional course of the "KEIO Mirai Stories Fund" that began in November 2024. It involves installing nameplates honoring donors on each seat in the Mita Campus North Building Hall, where various events such as ceremonies and international symposiums are held. We continue to widely call for support for this unique form of donation, which leaves a testament of support in the history of Keio University.

On the day of the event, many donors and related parties attended. President Kohei Itoh expressed his gratitude for the support and spoke about Keio University's current priority initiatives and future prospects, such as expanding international networks through collaboration with global opinion leaders and introducing cutting-edge research cases.

A portion of the donations collected through this support was used for replacing the carpets and renovating the interior walls of the entire North Building Hall, where the unveiling ceremony took place.

In the renovated North Building Hall, while viewing the nameplates installed to express our gratitude to the donors, we reported that the university environment had been improved through everyone's support, providing an opportunity to convey our thanks once again.

The unveiling ceremony concluded in a peaceful atmosphere where the participants' feelings of support for Keio University could be felt, including a commemorative photo session.

In the feedback survey, many comments were received, such as: "Please continue to nurture excellent human resources and constantly lead the way in the times," "Even after graduation, I often feel the strong bonds and the thoughts of everyone, such as Keio alumni reaching out at important turning points in my life," and "I want you to continue producing leaders who will lead society."

After the unveiling ceremony, campus tours were conducted in two groups. Many participants visited the campus for the first time in a long while, touring facilities such as the Enzetsukan (Public Speaking Hall), which is usually not open to the public.

Due to the nameplate installation schedule, the first unveiling ceremony invited those eligible for nameplates who had donated by the end of June 2025. Donors eligible for nameplates who donated from July 2025 onwards will be contacted for the second unveiling ceremony, scheduled to be held in fiscal year 2026 or later.

We will continue to use your warm support as our strength to engage in education, research, and medical activities that lead to the future. We look forward to your continued support.
