On March 12, 2025, the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2025 were announced. For this ranking, institutions are assigned a ranking in 5 Broad Subject Areas and 55 Narrow Subjects. For the 2025 edition, a total of 5,203 universities worldwide were surveyed, with 1,747 institutions assigned a position in the rankings.

Keio University ranked in the highest number of Narrow Subjects to date, placing within the top 500 universities for 28 Narrow Subjects, and among them, within the top 150 universities worldwide in the following 8 subjects.
