Naomi Orui, a third-year Faculty of Economics student has been chosen as one of the torch bearers in the Kanagawa Prefectural area for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. It is planned that she will make her way through either Kawasaki City or Yokohama City on Wednesday, July 1.
Keio University will host the pre-games training camps of the British teams for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games at our Hiyoshi Campus, with Ms. Orui representing the Keio 2020 Project, a student volunteer group supporting the hosting of the GB teams.
Ms. Orui, enthuses that: "I am delighted to be able to play my part in enlivening the Tokyo Games as one of the Olympic torch bearers. As a member of the Keio 2020 Project, I am actively involved in hosting efforts for the pre-games training camps of the British Olympic and Paralympic Teams. In fact, I am currently creating a barrier-free map of Hiyoshi Campus. I will give it my all to run with pride."
