Lecture Overview:

In this presentation, Ms. Yang will discuss several co-creative artistic practices conducted in areas with high concentrations of foreign residents. While comparing the multicultural coexistence challenges faced by each region, she will examine how individual initiatives can contribute to the social inclusion of foreign residents. Through case studies, she will also explore how the experience of "co-creation," where people actively engage with one another in the with/post-COVID era, can contribute to building a society that respects diverse values, moving a step beyond parallel coexistence. This presentation is expected to deepen our understanding of how art and artistic practices have been and can be involved in and contribute to the social inclusion of foreign residents.
