I was interested in marketing, so I entered the master's program in graduate school. Currently, my research is based on consumer behavior theory, focusing mainly on brand theory. Compared to undergraduate studies, graduate school offers many more opportunities to participate in academic conferences. I have attended various conferences both in Japan and abroad, where I not only received feedback on my own research but also had many valuable experiences that contributed to my personal growth, such as seeing presentations by world-class scholars up close and learning about their passion and approach to research.
In the Graduate School of Business and Commerce, you can also take classes outside your major. Having passed the CPA exam and being interested in the field of accounting, I also took financial accounting classes every week. At Keio University's Graduate School of Business and Commerce, there are many leading professors across a wide range of fields, providing numerous opportunities to broaden your knowledge not only in your own major but also in other areas of interest. I feel that one of the great appeals of this graduate school is that you can aim to become a T-shaped specialist with a wide range of knowledge, including related fields, rather than an I-shaped specialist who is only knowledgeable in their own narrow field of study.
This graduate school provides an environment where you can freely explore your interests. We look forward to having many of you enroll in the Graduate School of Business and Commerce and join us in our daily pursuit of mutual improvement.
