In the 2021 academic year, some plans were changed due to COVID-19, but a few events could be held in face to face formats. Cooperation with the archives course hosted by Nakatsu City was limited to two online lectures. Nevertheless, in November and March, it was possible to hold public lectures in Nakatsu and work with the Nakatsu History Museum to hold extra exhibitions. As part of the joint research, the center conducted surveys and discussed the scholars of the Watanabe family, the Umeda family, Obata Tokujiro, and other topics using zoom throughout 10 days in Nakatsu over the course of the year.
