Shiba no Ie (Project Hub for Rediscovering the Community Strength of the Showa Era)
Shiba no Ie is a collaborative project of Keio University and the Shiba Regional City Office of Minato City. It was established as a project hub for “Rediscovering the Community Strength of the Showa Era," which aims to regenerate the warm human connections of the 1950s and 1960s. University students, alumni, and local residents support its operations, and various related events are also held. Shiba no Ie is a place where everyone, from children to the elderly, can freely stop by, and it has become a common sight to see staff members playing with children from the neighborhood.
Gokinjo Innovation School
The Gokinjo Innovation School is a project to support new community development in collaboration of Keio University and the Shiba Regional City Office of Minato City. With the aim of fostering talented individuals, it also offers various courses that utilize the resources of the university and the local community.

Kadobeya
Kadobeya is an alternative space jointly operated by Keio University and Kotolab.LLC. It is a place where people from all backgrounds—including residents of Kotobuki-cho in the neighborhood, of Naka Ward and Minami Ward, people who work locally and students—can come and go freely to make things happen together.
Yagami Campus
Development of an Art-based Disaster Preparedness Improvement Program and Digital Support Tools
Yokohama City, Keio University, and the Tsunashima Sustainable Smart Town Council are conducting research on the theme of "Development of an Art-based Disaster Preparedness Improvement Program and Digital Support Tools" as an industry-government-academia collaboration initiative to solve Yokohama City's disaster prevention challenges (such as delivering disaster information to all citizens and ensuring that citizens take appropriate evacuation actions based on disaster information) and to promote disaster prevention DX. This initiative aims to develop disaster prevention activities that allow citizens to improve their disaster preparedness and knowledge in an enjoyable way.
Shonan Fujisawa Campus (SFC)
Keio Fujisawa Innovation Village (SFC-IV)
Keio Fujisawa Innovation Village (SFC-IV) is an incubation facility for entrepreneurs operated by the Independent administrative agency, the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, JAPAN, in partnership with Keio University and the local community. It provides comprehensive support for the start-up phase of entrepreneurs and businesses tackling new ventures.
SFC Nature Coexistence Site
SFC has been certified by Japan's Ministry of the Environment as a "Nature Coexistence Site" (latter half of FY2024). The Shonan Fujisawa Campus Nature Coexistence Site (hereafter the SFC Nature Coexistence Site) is located in an area where a rich natural environment remains with high biodiversity, situated within the increasingly urbanized Shonan Fujisawa region. SFC is leveraging its strengths as an educational and research institution to actively implement pioneering initiatives for the conservation of this area's natural environment and biodiversity and for the creation of a sustainable community and campus, while also incorporating the latest technologies.
Community Revitalization Researcher
The Community Revitalization Researcher is a program promoted in collaboration with communities across Japan and SFC (the Social Innovator Course and Social Innovation Lab). In this program, SFC graduate students and others who conduct practical on-site research and development in these communities are appointed as Community Revitalization Researchers by local governments, companies, and other organizations. Community Revitalization Researchers promote the jitsugaku (science) of regional revitalization through remote and in-person research guidance and support from SFC.
Shinanomachi Campus
Division of Clinical Liaison, Keio University Hospital
This department was established to promote collaboration with many medical institutions, including local clinics and hospitals. Our main operations include regional collaboration, hospital bed management, support for hospital transfers and discharge, recovery support, and various consultations including cancer counseling. Our dedicated multidisciplinary staff, including nurses, medical social workers, registered dietitians, and administrative staff, work in collaboration with doctors to support patients from before admission and to help ensure they have a hospital stay with peace of mind. We will promote "face-to-face medical collaboration" with regional partner institutions more than ever before, and our entire staff will work together as one to make even greater efforts.
Shiba-Kyoritsu Campus
University Community Pharmacy
The University Community Pharmacy of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Keio University opened in April 2001 as Japan's first on-campus pharmacy. As a University Community Pharmacy located on campus, it fulfills three important roles: a place for practical education for students, a center for clinical research, and a health support pharmacy that contributes to the local community.
Tsuruoka Town Campus of Keio (TTCK)
Chido Library
This is a library jointly operated in collaboration by Tsuruoka City, Keio University, and Tohoku University of Community Service and Science. It houses materials in the natural sciences with a focus on life sciences, as well as materials in the humanities and social sciences related to community service and science. The library is open to the public, and anyone may use it. Lending services are also available to those who live, study, or work in the Shonai region.
The Shonai Seminar
By creating a venue for a lively exchange of knowledge that transcends regions and generations through not only group work by residential seminar participants but also their interactions with supporters of the Shonai Seminar, we will cultivate the "ability to connect with people" (social skills).
