The City of Yokohama, Keio University, and the Tsunashima Sustainable Smart Town Council, as part of an industry-academia-government collaborative initiative, are conducting research on the theme of "Developing a Disaster Preparedness Awareness Program and Supporting Digital Tools through Disaster Preparedness x Citizen Science (*) x Art." This research is aimed at solving disaster preparedness challenges in the City of Yokohama—such as delivering disaster information to all citizens and ensuring they take appropriate evacuation actions based on that information—and promoting disaster preparedness DX. Through this initiative, we aim to develop disaster preparedness activities that allow citizens to enjoyably improve their disaster preparedness awareness and knowledge.
Going forward, the three parties will continue to collaborate on this research to solve disaster preparedness challenges and promote disaster preparedness DX.
(*) A participatory project in which experts, such as researchers, and citizens collaborate.
