Yagami Prize

This section introduces the "Yagami Prize," which is awarded to alumni of the Faculty of Science and Technology and the Graduate School of Science and Technology who are playing a prominent role at the forefront of society.

About the "Yagami Prize"

The "Yagami Prize" is awarded to alumni who are playing a prominent role at the forefront of society. This year, the award ceremony and lecture will be held again. The lecture, in particular, is a valuable opportunity to hear about the recipients' activities during their time at the university and their careers after graduation. It will surely serve as nourishment and a guidepost for students studying at the Faculty of Science and Technology as they consider their future careers and turn their dreams into reality.

What is the Alumni Association Research and Education Promotion Fund?

The fund was established using donations from the 2000 Faculty of Science and Technology Commemorative Fundraising Campaign, which was conducted by the Faculty of Science and Technology Alumni Association as a project to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Fujiwara Institute of Technology, the predecessor of the current faculty. Every year, the Yagami Prize is awarded to approximately five alumni of the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Graduate School of Engineering, or the Graduate School of Science and Technology who have achieved remarkable success in society after graduation, and a lecture by the recipients is held.
