System software is always running behind the scenes of the internet we use in our daily lives. Prime examples include operating systems like Windows and macOS, as well as internet servers. However, many of these still have vulnerabilities, and a series of problems are now occurring on the internet, such as personal information leaks due to unauthorized attacks and the suspension of public services due to system failures. At the Kono Laboratory, we are conducting daily research to solve these problems by re-examining the system software that forms the core of computers, aiming to build an internet that everyone can use safely and securely.
